Let's start with our equipment. Most rehab and pain treatment clinics have body balls, thera-bands and tubing. Of course, we have all that but we didn't stop there.
In fact, after reading about and actually seeing the inside of the Texas Back Institute, we went out and purchased the same equipment they are currently using.
In looking for ways to make the BC Back Institute a unique clinical facility in BC, we decided to provide our patients with a wide range of equipment options all under one roof.
The VAX-D Genesis spinal decompression table was invented by a neurosurgeon that just happened to spend a portion of his career as the Minister of Health for the province of Ontario. We are the only provider of VAX-D Genesis treatments in BC.
The Med-X rehab equipment is used by Texas Back Institute, one of the largest free standing spine pain centers in the world, for post-surgical rehabilitation. We are currently the only clinic in Western Canada with a Med-X Medical Lumbar machine. We also have a rotary torso machine.
The Spineforce strength and balance trainer comes directly from France. There are only four in Canada and only one in BC. We utilize it as part of most of our programs.
Our Tech Trainer system is the only one to be found in Canada. It has attachments to adapt it to the training requirements for a variety of sports, including golf, tennis and baseball. This computerized system is used by the Titleist Performance Institute in San Diego to help train PGA golfers.
